Well, well, where to begin? You may have noticed that I have been remarkably absent on the blog lately — I have not just been lazy! Since the last time I wrote, we moved halfway across the country from New York to TEXAS!
It was a little bit of an ordeal getting in because of the wild weather pounding Dallas — we ended up arriving about 24 hours after anticipated, but it all worked out! After a busy Sunday picking up necessities, we both started work on Monday and have been nose to the grindstone trying to get everything in place.
We still have a long way to go before getting settled — it’s amazing how many things you have to buy when upgrading from a studio to a two-bedroom! But we are spending hours each day unpacking and buying and making the place ours. I could not be happier in our new space!
Last night I decided to take a break and hunker down with a good book. I recently discovered the blog Deliciously Ella, and it’s quickly become one that I check every day. She recently released an eponymous tome, and it’s fantastic! I’ll review it à la Kris Carr’s “Crazy Sexy Diet” when I finish, and include a few of my favorite recipes now that I actually have space to cook!
Um, did I forget to mention that I also signed up to become a certified health coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition? (More info here) Yeah. A lot has happened in the last few weeks! But now that some of the chaos has passed, I promise not to drop off the map again!
