I have spent $80.13 on Seamless in the past two days, and if my favorite restaurant would’ve ever freaking opened, I would’ve made it past the $100 mark.
I realized yesterday that I might have a problem when I reloaded my “favorites” page every half hour between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., thinking that surely then Zengo would be open.
If you read this post, you know I’ve been working out a lot more than normal, and I think that might have contributed to my unusual craving.
For those of you who are unfamiliar, Seamless is NYC’s can’t-live-without food delivery system. Almost every restaurant in the city is hooked up to it, and you can order just about anything off their menu for no delivery charge.
I’m actually quite a frugal person, and my wild spending habits on Seamless these past few days are in no way reflective of my character. I cringe at spending $1 more than necessary on airline tickets, and I secretly wish bartering was still acceptable. But I try not to feel bad about spending money on food because honestly, you need it to live. Can’t think about everything.
But after spending $80 on three green juices, gazpacho, a mini gluten free pizza and a veggie burger, I think it’s time someone pops an intervention on me à la It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Ya, I have a problem.
